As a member of Chapelwood United Methodist Church, Carrie Hoye was introduced to the mission of Gracewood nearly eight years ago. After seeing the amazing work that was happening in the lives of the children and single mothers we served, she knew she wanted to get more involved. “The dignity and uplifting care that Gracewood provided to women was unlike anything we’d ever seen,” shares Carrie. “To meet a single mom whose trajectory of life was interrupted by something that sent her off track was heartbreaking. But in His grace, the Lord allowed her life to intersect with Gracewood, where she has found home, hope, and healing. It really touched my heart!” Since then, Carrie and her husband, Jeffrey, have been deeply involved with Gracewood as friends, supporters, ambassadors, trustees, and committee chairs. We are so thankful to the Lord for their tender heart and helpful guidance – they have made such an incredible impact on our ministry!
Community involvement is one of the key elements to Gracewood’s success. It’s because of partners like Carrie and the incredible generosity of donors that we are able to rescue children and single mothers and point them toward a brighter, more promising future.
